Occasionally, third-party security software will block VPOP3 from accessing our online licence activation servers using https.
There is another knowledgebase article with some details about that here: https://helpdesk.pscs.co.uk/297320-Licence-activation-not-working
Alternatively, you can enter the licence details into the database manually:
At a command prompt in the VPOP3 directory run:
For VPOP3 Basic
vpop3settings set \licence\~key <licence key> vpop3settings set \licence\~owner "<licence owner>"
e.g.
vpop3settings set \licence\~key V123-ABCD-EFGH-4567-8901 vpop3settings set \licence\~owner "My company"
then restart VPOP3
For VPOP3 Enterprise
vpop3settings set \licence\~entkey <licence key> vpop3settings set \licence\~owner "<licence owner>"
e.g.
vpop3settings set \licence\~entkey H123-ABCD-EFGH-4567-8901 vpop3settings set \licence\~owner "My company"
then restart VPOP3
