Does VPOP3 support 2FA for email?

Hello,

I note from your blog post of November 8, 2018 (https://blog.pscs.co.uk/category/vpop3/new-features/) that version 7.8 supports 2FA for Webmail/admin access. That is presumably when VPOP3 is acting as a server for users to connect using a browser?

My question is whether VPOP3 will also support 2FA acting in "client" mode, to connect to an external mail server which supports 2FA?

Thank you,
Rosemary

I'm afraid not. VPOP3 is meant to be run as an automated service, and 2FA is not suitable for that, as it requires user interaction.

Paul,

Thank you. That is what I suspected, but I wanted to be quite sure before I tried it.

Kind Regards,
