VPOP3 and the Log4J vulnerability

As you may have heard, some applications written using the Java programming language and Java Runtime have become vulnerable due to an exploit in the Java 'Log4J' library.

We have received some questions asking whether VPOP3 is impacted by this problem.

The answer is, no, VPOP3 is not affected at all. No part of VPOP3 uses Java, and thus no part uses the Log4J library either. That includes VPOP3 itself, the Webmail, administration console, Spamfilter, VPOP3 Antivirus, and the backend PostgreSQL database.
